Cole Bergquist is one of Montana’s most accomplished real estate brokers and developers. An All-American quarterback at the University of Montana, Cole went on to play in the Canadian Football League before turning his competitive drive toward real estate. Since then, he has closed more than 400 transactions with approximately $400 million in total sales volume. His track record includes selling out entire condominium buildings and generating $40 million from a single project, as well as representing both buyer and seller in one of Montana’s most exquisite homes, a $12 million sale that accounted for $24 million in total transaction volume.
Cole also brings extensive development and sales experience. He led the creation of The Reed, a luxury condominium project in Missoula’s University District, the city’s most sought-after neighborhood. With commanding views of the Clark Fork River, The Reed was guided by Cole from entitlement through design, capital raising, and vertical construction. In addition to overseeing development, he and his team served as the exclusive sales force for the project, which sold out before completion and set records for dollars per square foot in Missoula.
Today, Cole is spearheading the Higgins Waterfront project at the former Missoulian site in downtown Missoula, one of the largest developments in the city’s history. With 330 feet of frontage on the Clark Fork River, the site is widely regarded as one of the best development opportunities in western Montana. The project will feature a luxury hotel, condominiums, 300 parking stalls, a rooftop restaurant and curated local retail.
